Scenically set between two coastlines, bordered by the US peninsula community of Point Roberts, Tsawwassen offers seaside views and farmscapes for easy access to organic, local produce. This itinerary gives you a glimpse of the farm-to-table lifestyle that's rooted there.

1. Southlands Farmer's Market

Southlands is an entirely new community within Tsawwassen. Surrounded by working farms, and within a few blocks of Tsawwassen's best beaches, it consists of both new homes and a 'Market District', with more to come as development continues.

Upon entering Southlands, your eyes will easily rest on 'The Grange'. Tsawwassen's Farmer's Market will take place here every Saturday, from 10 AM - 2 PM, offering open-air market shopping for fresh vegetables, fruits, and artisan works often with local musicians adding a beat to the mix. The Grange is much more than a market host - throughout the summer it's set to host various farm-to-table centric workshops and events. Be sure to check out their schedule in case you want to add a workshop to your day trip!

2. Prado Coffee House

And then there's coffee. Vancouver's award-winning Prado Cafe has jumped into Delta, proudly serving Vancouver-based 49th Parallel coffee alongside delectable bakery treats and sandwiches. Their menu includes staples like their much loved 'Famous cookie with no Name', Avo Smash, and freshly made wraps, as well as unique to this location seasonal items that incorporate local produce. Enjoy your cafe break at Prado, or take your order to go, while roaming the district.

3. Earthwise Society

Next up, we drop into Earthwise Society within Southlands. A certified organic farm, it houses both a farm and botanical garden. What makes Earthwise special to Tsawwassen is its commitment to sustainable farming practices and education, funded by their sales. It's always interesting to browse through their heritage building, stroll the garden, and learn from walk-in and organized programs that help us all connect to where and how our food is grown.

4/5. Gracie's Next Door & Marios Kitchen

Finally, take a load off and head to central Tsawwassen for patio time. A local favorite is Marios Kitchen or their sister location Gracie's Next Door (yes, it's literally right next door). Both offer an extensive patio and share a live music stage offering acoustic background covers while you sip your way through daily Happy Hour specials or dive into delicious dinners and small plate tapas.

Locals Reco: Grab a tasting flight of local Delta craft breweries Barnside and Four Winds.
