(Delta, BC, March 11, 2021) – Tourism Delta, in partnership with the BC Restaurant and FoodServices Association (BCRFA), is excited to launch the first We Love Delta Dine Around (Dine Around Delta) program, running March 12 - 28, 2021.
For the next two weeks more than 20 restaurants throughout Delta are featuring a three course menu for $15, $25, $35, or $45. Guests can visit the participating restaurants and ask for their Dine Around Delta menu, reservations are encouraged as we anticipate this to be a popular activity for Delta residents through spring break. A list of participating restaurants and their menus can be viewed online at www.welovedelta.ca with the many participating restaurants offering take-out, meal kits and take and bake options this year.
The addition of a take-out option, something that is not typically part of a dining campaign, has been added due to restaurant capacity restrictions and an increase in in-home dining. This serves as a great opportunity to still enjoy a three course dinner during Dine Around Delta in the comfort of your home.
“Finding creative ways to support our local business community, especially a sector like restaurants who have been significantly impacted this past year, is extremely important to us” comments Jane Stark, Chair, Tourism Delta. “This is a great opportunity for Delta residents to get out and show support for their local businesses in a safe and responsible manner. The timing with spring break provides another activity that families can enjoy during what might be ‘a different’ spring break this year.”
Dine Around Delta organizers are working with restaurants to ensure proper COVID-19 protocols are in place and foodservice is delivered within safety guidelines. The Provincial Health Officer strongly recommends that diners eat out with people in their own household. Individuals who live alone are encouraged to dine out with the one or two other people who make up their pandemic bubble.
Keep your eyes on the We Love Delta social channels for fun giveaways and shared content at @welovedeltabc on Facebook and Instagram. There will be chances to win gift certificates to participating restaurants through sharing photography and engaging with social posts. Watch for full details on Facebook and Instagram throughout the festival, and don’t forget to use the hashtag #DineAroundDelta.
