Looking to #supportlocal and our non-big box economy? Then this itinerary is for you.

Our shopping guide to North Delta will take you from old-fashioned hardware stores to authentic barber shops, for everything from haircuts to deli platters. Here we go...

Start the day at Nordel Centre, with a cup of joe from Cravings Coffee before getting cleaned up with a summer buzz at AWOL Barbership. This authentic barbershop, complete with the colourful spirals outside, and it is a great spot to refill your manly hair necessities like beard wax and shaving cream.

You'll find everything you need for an Instagram-worthy all-star charcuterie at Altmaerker German Sausage House and Deli. A German deli run by the Till family, it has a reputation for delicious deli sandwiches, gift basket creations, picnic supplies, as well as gluten-binding-filler-free homemade sausages (a must-try for summer BBQ season!).

For closet finds, Spektra Reflections of Home is a great shop offering unique gifts from head to toe. Cheery earrings and casual staples for our West Coast lifestyle are abundant here, with a mix of trendy home decor from pillows to throws to makeover you and your ambiance.

Watershed Artworks Gallery Shop makes supporting local easy, and easy on the eyes, at the North Delta Community Centre. A non-profit organization, it sells unique wearable and hangable artwork from local artisans, open daily from 10 - 3. Note that hours are subject to change, so always check with their website and social media channels for the latest hours.
