Featured Business: Boca Grande

We Love Delta exists to share stories of resilience and recovery. As our local businesses continue their journey of pivoting and adapting to the new Covid-19 era we will be showing our love by sharing their stories. Boca Grande shares with us how they quickly went from managing line ups out the door for their handcrafted doughnuts to a pre-paid flash sale business model. Overwhelmed by local support they have been able to safely re-open for takeout and fulfill the high demand for unique and delicious doughnuts. Don't forget about their delicious street tacos too!

“Boca Grande’s last day of operation due to Covid 19 was Sunday March 15. We decided that the most moral thing to do at that time was shut the doors. We started doing online flash sales 2-3 weeks after closing just to keep things moving a bit while life was at a standstill. We had customers pre-pay online and on the day of the flash sale they would arrive at the shop, give us a call, give us their name and we would meet them at the door with their donuts. We did that a few times in between the closure and re-opening.

On Saturday May the 16th we re-opened the doors with a plexiglass shield between us and the customer, social distancing signage on the floors, and our shop is now takeout only. We have been overwhelmed with the love we’re receiving locally and throughout the lower mainland. We are currently open Saturdays and Sundays 10am-3pm or until sold out for right now till we figure out the next step. We’re just happy to see the smiling faces in the shop again.”
