Port of Vancouver: Proud to Support Reach Child and Youth Development Society

The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, on behalf of the Port of Vancouver, is proud to be the presenting sponsor of the We Love Delta holiday boxes! Net proceeds are going to Delta’s very own Reach Child and Youth Development Society. The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, along with port partners at the Port of Vancouver, has been supporting Reach for many years.

On behalf of the Port of Vancouver, the port authority has been a longtime sponsor of Reach’s annual gala, including its first virtual gala in October. Reach has also received proceeds from the Port Gala, an annual fundraising event that brings together port tenants, suppliers and partners to raise awareness and funds for several community organizations. To date, 5 port organizations have contributed almost $1 million to Reach. Additionally, in 2016, the same port organizations, including the port authority, contributed the final $400,000 needed for the construction of Reach’s child development centre in Ladner.

Like everyone who purchased a holiday box, we want to help ensure that local children with special needs get the critical services they need and deserve in a safe, effective and timely manner—especially during these challenging times. Sponsoring these wonderful holiday boxes is just another way we can show our support.
